Indika

This range of Indic language products is made by the veteran team of software developers who worked on the original Apple Macintosh & Windows DTP facilities for Indian languages. Indika’s features include keyboard drivers and large font libraries for each of the main eight non-Urdu writing systems of India:

Hindi, Punjabi (Gurumukhi), Gujarati, Bengali, Tamil, Malayalam, Oriya, or Telugu

The fonts typically contain large numbers of conjuncts & matras (where necessary) to ensure the correct operation of the writing system rules in each language. For example, with the Devanagari packages you can type in Hindi, Marathi, Nepali and Sanskrit. You can even typeset the Vedas with Indika. All these require special formations of conjuncts.

With languages
like Bengali & Gujarati... where the character sets are large & character formations complicated, a product like Indika, unlike cheaper propositions online & elsewhere, becomes indispensable.

The unique availability of Indika for Mac as well as Windows means designers & typesetters can work on a Mac while receiving translations from Windows users.

£395+VAT per language.

If more than one language is required on the same PC or Mac:

£198+VAT per subsequent language.
